5 Things We Loved to See on Giving Tuesday
With a record-breaking amount of giving that totaled $4 billion USD and 38 million participants (a 13% and 6% increase respectively), Giving Tuesday 2025 was a big day, proving that when everyone gets involved— no matter how small or simple— the impact can be substantial.
Here are five ways we saw organizations mobilize to serve their communities and make the most of their Giving Tuesday.
Postcards Across the Globe
The GivingTuesday partners in Taiwan celebrated the movement by launching a limited-edition postcard campaign sharing the beauty of Taiwan. Such postcards were sent to global partners to foster connection in the name of shared generosity across countries. On the local level, they also ran a “vote-grab-send” activity, where participants voted for the photo that best represented Taiwan and exchanged notes written to brighten the day of readers.
Service in the community
Other organizations used their Giving Tuesday as a day of service for their communities. NEST4US, a nonprofit centered on volunteer mobilization in Ashburn, Virginia, for example, assembled bags of food and essentials for families facing food insecurity.
Cross-Collaboration
Organizations also collaborated with companies to compound their impact. Rapport Therapeutics was able to partner with Mama’s Kitchen and Community Servings in order to purchase holiday pies for community members in San Diego and Boston. Not only was this a way to help provide food to those facing serious health challenges, but it shows what we are able to accomplish when we work together.
Baked goods
In the spirit of bringing people together, the GivingTuesday movement in Croatia hosted Kindness To Go in Pula. There, they shared free cookies and coffee while attendees were encouraged to write good wishes or kind thoughts to brighten someone else’s day. Afterward, they hosted a free lecture and workshop for young people and parents to strengthen community support.
Giving Festival
Keeping in step with rallying the community, Nigeria hosted a Giving Festival. This was an opportunity for brands, nonprofits, and community members alike to unite, and together they cultivated a vibrant space that inspired everyone to do their part to do good.
Whether you are serving your community or create communal spaces, there is nothing too small to give or do on Giving Tuesday.
